My 17y/o son has been making sodas at home for a few years now. We use my kegging system, he does have his own lines and tap head and uses several different lines for different sodas as some soda flavors will taint the lines. It's very easy to do with a kegging system and no alcohol.
The only sub I made was using turbinado sugar instead of table sugar. It had great flavor. I need to make some more. Kegging system sounds cool and easier too. I have a system for beer. I guess I could just get new kegs and lines. It would nice to not have to work so I could get around to all of the stuff that I want to do.
I have read about both these methods...I guess they both work well. Thanks for the replies.
I suppose a home brew shop would have everything needed for a 'kegging' system.
I got my kegging system for $250 from my local home brew shop. It came with two kegs, lines, regulator, and a CO2 tank. Kegs hold about 5 gallons each.
