Any made a custom cabinet for a weber gas grill?

I have my weber genesis I bought years ago.
The tube frame has rot.
And I want an enclosed portion with doors.

Anyone built anything like this?

I was thinking steel stud frame, then skin with a lighter stone? Like an outdoor kitchen

It can certainly be done if you have the know how. If you go with stainless, it will definitely be very pricey. But, it could be a really fun project with a lot of possibilities.

Maybe you should look for a better restoration candidate such as a used 2nd generation Summit Platinum:

or a Genesis Silver/Gold/Platinum that has doors (not all do):

A Genesis S-300 series grill might work, too:

I would not use steel studs. They're made of plain mild steel and will crumble into a pile of rust dust if you just say "water" to them
