Any Assembly Tips?


 
Go get a package of stainless steel washers from Menards or Home Depot. Don't get galvanized washers. Zinc is not good for you.

Add about 3 washers extra on the screw that holds the TOP of each of the C shaped bracket. The washers go BETWEEN the inside of the mid section and the C brackets. This has the effect of pushing the top of the C bracket toward the middle of the top grate.

You need this because top of the C bracket is not long enough. Without the washers it may be possible to drop the top grate downward.
 
Mike put some music on, grab a beer and get to it! It's very simple to put together. It's nothing like a big gas grill that has 100 parts!
 
I like going with stainless hardware as well (all bolts, nuts and washers) the stuff that comes with the WSM is super low grade and will break if you are not careful. Also check your guage in boiling water.
 
hi Mike, I just built mine a couple of weeks ago and even with being very precise while putting it together it only took 15- 20 minutes. Have a great time with it.
