another new temp controller

Very Interesting! I would like to see some reviews on it before investing. If the PID works anything like the Auber I'm sure it will be spot on. I have the Auber and I have no complaints about it. The price point is great, you can monitor meat temp and smoker temp and control it. I can see this unit being worth $200 easily given the functionality and how much more expensive other comparable atc units are. I will keep an eye out on this one. I wish Auber would come out with something like this, they already have the dual probe unit for the electric smokers. The price point would be a lot higher.

Here is waht another guy has said about it on another site:
"Unlike all the other controllers, it has 4 phases, so you can set phase 1 to X temperature for Y time, when the time is up it moves to the next phase (XX temperature for YY time) and so on. In addition to that you set the meat doneness temp and hold time, so when the meat gets to temp it controls the BBQ pit to hold the meat at temperature for the length of time you have set, then it switches the BBQ pit to your preset "resting" temperature.

It's looking like the cheapest and smartest controller on the market and the next version I think will be remote and internet enabled".

Thanks Joe. I knew I should have patented those features in Stokerlog so that folks wouldn't copy them. Just kidding

.

I don't get how it is cheaper though. Seems like the main box is $160 and you still have to buy the rest of the bits...

"Promotional Price: Thermostat US$99. Package of Thermostat + blower + SS Mounting Flange=US$128. Package of Thermostat + blower + Rain Proof SS box =US$138"
Have to make up an adapter of sorts for the blower but other then that...

I have my stoker and run stoker log really like that combo. Thanks Amir.
This is a nice affordable option. I would have probably bought this for the price difference. I did a side job for a guy and he bought me a stoker setup instead of paying me. Which was a good deal.
I also wouldn't want to drill in my ceramic. My luck I would mess it up.
