Dear bride is having the daughters over for girls night. They requested chile verde pulled pork. Just pulled the butt off at 162 degrees. Sauces added and it’s back on the Weber until it’s done.
Tim,That looks outstanding, Tye. All of it. How much sauce did you make?
Andy,That looks freakin cool and delicious.
I have never made that.
Is it just some homemade chili verde sauce on a butt?
I’m thinking chili verde burritos could have their own area in the freezer .
Tim,Can you tell me more about your background singer, the chicken?
Any chance you would share your recipe? Please Please Please…Tim,
I didn’t make the sauce, everything was store bought. Chile verde sauce, diced roasted green chiles and a bottle of green taco sauce.
Oh yeah, that is something I have done both the times I have made it and love it!Thanks Michael, it’s a simple but delicious recipe. I think my next cook I may season the butt with fajita seasoning at first and see what that does to the chile verde taste profile.

Thanks!Ray,
I aske Tye the first time I saw him make this dish for the same question and he gave me this great response, I want to make sure you got it also!
Loading up the WSM
Local Winco had BI pork shoulders for .98 per lb. Haven’t seen them that low in a long time so I grabbed 4 and decided it was time to restock the freezer with chile verde 👍🏼. Here they are waiting while the WSM comes up to temp.tvwbb.com
Then Richard S. and I followed in Tye's footsteps and used this reciepe and OH MAN was it GOOD!!!
I highly recommend a smoked shredded pork chili Verde follow whatever recipe you like as it is soooo good!
