I just got in a pallat of Coconut charcoal from Kamado. I cooked on it today for the first time, and it worked great. 3 lbs of it kept the WSM at 225-250 for 6 hrs. does not smoke much and has a slightly sweet smell. And, it all burns, leaving almost no residue...great stuff

Charles,

How did you arrange the stuff in the WSM, and how did you light it off? I've got a couple of boxes I haven't had a chance to use yet, and I've kind of wondered what the best way to get it going would be.

Thanks,

Rick

Yeah, the "lump" jokes should be coming down the pike any second now.
