Finally, I have someone on my side!
Thank You Gerd.. and Troy, I'm finally seeing RED! <span class="ev_code_RED">RED!!</span>

I have a few blue grills, and no two of them are the same. One of them is a little darker than the rest but I wouldn't call it navy. For the most part they are very close in color. That being said who knows what they may have made in the past. I wouldn't say that picture of that SS performer taken in the shade is a smoking gun. THat picture has a lot of issues, it's shady, it could be cloudy etc. I want to see good pics of a dark blue. Until then in my opinion they are all pretty much a medium blue. Give or take a little here or there.

good points shaun.

is the corona one really darker than the normal blue? Jeff had one for a while, i anticipate his input.

what's the 420 green (hehe) one you mentioned from the same era? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I did have a Corona blue smokey for a while, I also have a blue Lowenbrau smokey now. Ive had both smokeys next to my blue OTG and they are identical.
I don't know how Weber works their colors and shading, BUT...with the Crate and Barrel "grass green" as titled on the box, and the Uline "lime" color, the Uline is a shade or two lighter in color that the Crate and Barrel green one. There is a difference, but its not very noticeable.

OK Shaun,
Apparently the "Blue Experts" have poo pooed on your "Navy Blue".. I guess my Karma is still shining a nice bright "Sky Blue"...

I'm looking at this right now,

Webers on craigslist are pretty few around here. I've been looking for a performer for a while without luck. This isn't a performer, but I was wondering if you guys could give a fair price I should offer? It's blue!

Thanks </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

Well the asking price ($120) is certainly too much for a Platinum. Used Performers generally don't go for much more than that unless they're pristine...............and a rare color.

I'd pay no more than $80 for a Platinum, and it would have to be nearly flawless. Recent Platinums on CL in Atlanta have been priced $45-$50.

Performers may be rare, but if this guy won't budge below $100 I'd say wait.
