In a couple of hours, gonna start an all-nighter of 2 9lb pork butts that have been mustarded/rubbed since this morning.

Thanks to Weber & the Minion-method I'm thinking I'll do quite fine. My new wireless thermometer will come in handy as it sounds an alarm when hitting a min/max temp.

Life is good.

How did it turn out? We need a full report. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

The end result was pretty darn good.

I put the meat on around midnight.
I woke up at 4am to find the temp way too low, so I threw some more lump in and topped off the pan.
When I checked again at 9am, the fire was completely out and the temp at the top grate was 150 degrees. I fired up a chimney full of lump and got the whole thing back in motion.

I pulled the butts off around 2:30ish (they had an internal temp of 200). I let them sit for a half-hour, then pulled them...they pulled apart perfectly.

This is what I figured went wrong with my fire.
The initial fuel load in the cyclinder was the end of the bag of lump, so it was real small pieces. They just burn a heck of a lot fast than the big chunks. With Kingsford & the minion-method, I've been able to cook 14 hours without reloading the fuel.
