I know that the air drying topic is being discussed in several threads, but didn't want someone to miss this in case they don't go back and read some of the threads they are already "done" with. Anyway...

Is there no concern with contamination of other foods in your refrigerator when air drying your turkey uncovered? Air is constantly getting recirculated in there. And some refrigerators have holes between the fridge and freezer. Not that I have a lot of stuff that isn't in some sort of package, but there is some. Just wondering if anyone had thought about this and if my concern is unfounded.

Thanks in advance!

If your turkey comes out of cold brine, is dried, then is placed on a rack in a cold fridge, you need not be concerned.

I've never really thought about it. I'm 50, so I think it's OK.

HAPPY Thanksgiving!

As long as the raw poultry does not come in contact or drip juices onto other food in the frige it is fine! If Bruce says it's okay it's okay! Afterall he is 50!!
