Added handles and grommets.

Added handles (genie garage door lift handles) and grommets. Drilled pilot holes and then 3/8" hole for grommets with no problem. Handles had to bent just a touch for handles to line up. Plan to add 3rd rack that will sit on grommets.

Can you elaborate more on what type of grommets you used? Guru type or the kind that requires a tool to set?

Did you mod your hanger bracket on your Maverick to hook in the genie handles, or is that just hanging on the lip of the mid-section?

I'd be curious to know if folks have modified hanger brackets on the maverick. My 732 transmitter will flop against the cooker if I don't push the lid toward that side to trap the hanger tightly in the lip. I smelled plastic during a HH brisket cook but it didn't seem to be visibily melting where it touched the grill.

I might just glue a little strip of wood on the bottom edge

Thought about this a bit and I don't think we need much of an air gap. I plan on putting an S hook into my genie handles to hold the maverick hanger and, if large enough radius, a second one to hold the lid.

Mike, I'll give you your reply here... Thanks for the YT link. That convinced me to give it a shot. And now I've got the handles I've always wanted and the lamp hardware eyelets too... I hang my mav off the door handle, however.
