Hi all,
This weekend I will be camping in upstate NY. I just bought a Smokey Joe Gold to take with me to make ABTs. I own a Weber Gasser and a WSM, but I don't own a kettle grill till now, and the Smokey Joe is pretty darn small.
So my question is, what is the best way to make the ABTs on this small kettle? The manual says 9 hot coals on either side with an indirect section in the middle will last me for 1 hour. When I've done ABTs on my gasser, that's all the time I need with the temp around 300 (I like the bacon a bit crispier). I have some small wood chunks to throw on the coals for smoke. Is that all I need to do?
Any help anyone can offer would be appreciated.
