A Yellow Gas Grill

I know yellow kettles are highly sought after and some on this forum have wondered if Weber will ever come out with a yellow gas grill. Has anyone attempted to repaint a gas grill yellow?

Painting would be a waste of time, especially a color like yellow. Paint just will not adhere very well to existing porcelain. Dave in KC has had great success using a person local to him who redoes porcelain. He changed a black porcelain hood to red and could presumably do many different colors. That could be applied to any porcelain coated metal from gas grill hoods to kettles, WSMs, etc. It is not cheap to have done, but some are already wondering about the potential impact on sky high prices for certain rare colored kettles when someone could take a brand new black one and have it made over to that color.
