70's charcoal rails NIB

Yes, I did buy them.
As some know, I dont use them as charcoal rails.
I use them to elevate a second grate to get the coals right up under the food for high heat searing.

Another use for them is as a upper grill rack for two tiered cooking.

Nice find! I got a set with my Master Touch Gold, but I don't think I've ever seen them sold separately.

Dang it Jim, how did I miss your post on the top side grate extender? Now I have to hunt down a Smokey Joe grate.

For those asking if they still make these, yes they do. Our local Ace has them. Item # 7402. They run around $7.00 for a pair.

I love the charcoal rails. I have a couple sets of them and use them all the time!
