There's a couple of different styles of the SSP tank holder. The tank holder is 2 pieces and I have seen two variations of each piece, potentially there are 4 possible variations. I have only seen three, I do not know if all 4 variations were available or when different ones were.
At any rate, my 6th SSP rebuild is the first time I have seen the second style of the tank hanger, the smaller of the two pieces that comprise the tank holder. This is the piece that the tank actually hangs on.
This one the part that hold the tank by the handle is too long for my current tank. Perhaps the tanks that would've been included with this hanger had a different handle and sat on the hanger different than the tanks that sit on the other hanger? IDK.
I do know that my new Manchester Tank hangs too far towards the center of the cart, off center in the valve hole of the control panel making it difficult to operate the valve with the control panel in place.
This block pushes the tank toward the end of the frame, centering the tank valve in the valve hole of the control panel.
