26” Bowl Inside Protruding at Legs

Have 2009 - 26” Kettle.
Two places inside the bowl is protruding where legs are supported.
Hard to measure.
Worst spot protrudes approx. 1/8” to 3/16”.

Ash sweeper rises up as it goes over protrusion. Now sweeper bent up & don’t seal.

Any suggestions.
If I grind it down I think it would create a hole & weaken support of leg.

I guess it toast.
Any idea of cause?
Had very old 22” that never done this.

Leg sockets are pushing the bowl in?
Did you put a lot of weight on it?
Could try hitting the crowns with a dead blow hammer or a block of wood with a regular striker.

I think I just figured out what may have happen.

Two men from work hauled it in a pickup.
I bet it got dropped & landed one two legs with one leg taking most of the hit.

Give it a few hits and see if that helps.

Going to try 2 x4 w/ a hole large enough to slip over the leg socket.
Hope that cushion hold bowl in place etc.
The try main tool……..

You could also put a leg socket in a chunk of right sized PVC SCH 40 and ??

I’d put a sandbag on the outside, and use a rubber mallet carefully! Or shape a piece of 2x4 to the bowl arc and use whatever hammer is available. The bowl will need some support on the outside and I don’t see a piece of PVC doing that very well.
Is there a sandbox in the neighborhood. Pull the leg, stick the support in the sand and tap the thing back into shape.
