22.5" WSM Measurement...

Hey all, first post here. I have an Original Kettle and am awaiting delivery of a 22.5" WSM. Going to put a "base" on the WSM consisting of an aluminum disc to which I'll bolt the 3 legs of the WSM. I'll then add 4 swivel casters to the base.

I'd rather not wait another week till my WSM gets here to measure, so thought I'd ask this forum: What is the distance from outside edge to outside edge of the feet/legs on the 22.5" WSM? Wanting to make sure my aluminum disc is wide enough, with an inch or so extra outside of the feet/legs. I'm guessing 24" will be my magic number for the disc diameter???

Hey Rob,

See attached pic, I believe this will help. It’s about 2-1/4” to 2-3/8” offset from the bowl.

At a minimum your disc will need to be 26-3/4”

Thank you! That's very helpful...I'll probably go with 28" to give a small lip outside of the feet.
