21 Hours with Rancher and the WSM

Started last night at 9:30 smoking 2 butts. Checked temp at 1:00, 3:00, and 5:30. Temp at 250* every time. Took the butts off at 10:30 today and added the spare ribs and smoked for 6 hours. One full ring of fuel lasted 19 hours above 250* and 2 hours later slipped under 200*

I use the Piedmont/Saucer mod and can get the same results with Rancher or Kingford.

That is unbeliveable...what a cooker it is just like a crock pot.

Yes, that was with the saucer mod and useing the Minion method.

I agree... I started with a full ring and Minion method at 8 pm Friday night and finally needed to add a few coals at 5:30 pm the following nite.. other than an overnight drop to about 185*. once I stirred the coals a bit, they went right back to holding at 250* for the rest of the way.
