I have a natural gas 3 310 that is about 4 years old and I need new grates / flavorizer bars. I will buy them from RC if i decide to do it which will run about $200. With that said, do I invest the money in the Weber or look to replace it with another Weber / another brand?

Am i likely to have to replace burners etc soon that would be more than the 200 im spending? Thoughts?

you must use that gasser alot. 4 years only? My dad and father in-law got old gensis gasser with original cast iron. Flavorizor bars are soon going to need replacements. We're talking bout 15 year old grills though.

What's wrong with them? if it's just some rust you can salvage pretty easy.

Why replace the whole grill? Do you buy a new car when you need new tires? Get the stuff from RC. Top quality and I doubt you ever need to replace them again. As for burners.................they can last a VERY long time.

I do use it several times a week all year round (i live in Georgia) but lets just say that on three separate occasions the grill was at over 600 degrees for a few days each time. I know... im an idiot.

The rear flavorizer bars are literally gone. The front two are not in good shape and have holes in them. The grates feel like they could break at any point and have some rust on the left side towards the rear. Its not Weber's fault :(

No but tires arent half the cost of the car either LOL.

Ha ha good point regarding the cost. I would imagine your first set of flavorizers were the porcelain coated ones which just aren't as durable as the stainless variety.

I do agree that your best bet is to retrofit your existing grill with rcplanerbuyer parts. It should be better than new after that.

If you're not going to hunt craiglist for deals on gassers, then go ahead and upgrade just the parts. Should last you 10 years minimum for flavorizors and SS grates will outlast all other parts.

Agree with the replies. If all you need are replacement flavorizer bars and grates, just order a set of each from RC and you'll be good to go for YEARS. As for the burners, check your warranty. If they're still covered under warranty then just replace them shortly before the warranty expires and you'll be fine.

I would keep this grill as they are very good, and replace the parts.
That said it is only 4 years old call Weber CS and ask about warranty replacement parts i believe the burners are still under the warranty, then buy the other parts from RC, I must say I own a 07 S310 with SS flavor bars, and grates and love them, i am still using my original stuff and they are going strong, love the grates heat up fast and clean up excellent.
