Weber's 2013 Line-Up Includes Redesigned, New Gas and Charcoal Grills
Palatine, III., March, 2013 - As the demand for outdoor entertaining continues to skyrocket, Weber-Stephen Products LLC, the world's leading manufacturer of outdoor gas, charcoal and electric grills, is introducing several new and redesigned grills for 2013 designed to accommodate today's griller looking for more price point options, greater style, and even more portability.
Weber has completely redesigned its entry-level Spirit gas grill models to offer consumers the sleek lines of the company's top-selling Genesis gas grill line, but at a more affordable price point. The new Spirit line includes a two-burner 200 series and a three-burner 300 series.
Weber Spirit 200 Series:
The Spirit E-210 (available in black porcelain-enamel, MSRP: $499) and S-210 (available in stainless steel, MSRP: $549) grills feature heavy-duty porcelain enameled cast-iron cooking grates that offer superior heat retention. In addition, space-saving fold-down side tables provide storage options for those with limited outdoor grilling space. Both grills feature front-mounted control knobs to maximize side table workspace and a handy fuel-gauge that takes the guess-work out of knowing how much propane is left in the tank. The Spirit E-220 (MSRP: $549) is the series step-up with the addition of a side burner perfect for the gourmet griller.
Weber Spirit 300 Series:
The Spirit E-310 (MSRP: $599) and E-320 (MSRP: $649) gas grills feature easy-to-clean porcelain-enameled cast iron cooking grates that offer superior heat retention; porcelain-enameled Flavorizer Bars to reduce flare-ups and convert juices and drippings into smoke for additional flavor; and a handy fuel gauge to monitor propane levels. The Spirit E-320 gas grill also features a roomy side burner for large saute pans. Both are available in black only.
Weber Spirit SP Series:
The top of the line Spirit SP-310 (MSRP: $649) and Spirit SP-320 (MSRP: $699) models feature a stainless steel shroud, stainless steel cooking grates, 424-square inches of cooking space, a warming rack, three burners, a fuel gauge and a condiment rack. The Spirit SP-320 also includes a dedicated 12,000 BTU-per-hour side burner.
The new Performer Silver Charcoal Grill (MSRP: $249) features a classic Weber kettle set in a sturdy cart to provide a stable, handy workspace. The heat-resistant Thermoset side table also folds down to provide additional storage options. The porcelain-enameled 22.5" grill features a hinged cooking grate to easily add or adjust charcoal without lifting the grate or moving food; an easy-to-read thermometer built in to the lid monitors cooking temperatures; a Tuck-Away lid holder allows one to easily slide and hold the lid to the side of the grill; a One-Touch Cleaning System and high-capacity enclosed ash catcher makes clean-up hassle free. Available in black only.
In addition to all of the features of the Performer Silver Charcoal Grill, the updated Performer Gold Charcoal Grill (introduced last year) includes a larger, built-in, heat resistant work surface and removable timer that can be attached and easily removed from the grill, and a CharBin Storage Container to store up to 20 pounds of charcoal. MSRP: $319
The Performer Platinum Charcoal Grill is the top of the line in the series and features a Touch-n-Go Gas Ignition system that ignites charcoal briquettes with the push of a button. In addition to all of the other line features, the Platinum grill features two CharBasket Fuel Holders and is available in black, brick red, dark blue and green. MSRP: $369
Other charcoal news includes the new Weber Jumbo Joe Charcoal Grill. This 18" charcoal grill bridges the gap between the compact Smokey Joe charcoal grill and the One-Touch kettle. This portable grill features a porcelain-enameled bowl and lid that won't rust or peel, a plated steel cooking grate and a Tuck-N-Carry Lid Holder that locks into place when transporting, and also lowers to double as a lid holder. The Weber Jumbo Joe is the perfect size for tailgating, picnics, or the beach. Available in black only. MSRP: $69.99
