2 Brisket Cooking Question

Hello All,

I am planning on cooking two briskets in my WSM for the 4th.

I have read here that I should calculate roughly 1-1.5 hours per pound for cook time when cooking brisket.

My question is, when cooking two briskets (lets say they were both 8 lbs) should I multiple the cook time by 2?

1 Brisket at 8lbs = 8 to 12 hours
2 Briskets at 8lbs each = ???

I appreciate the help.

And yes I plan on having a trial run with one brisket this Sunday. I will try to post some pics.

The amount of roasts will add some time but not twice or three or four times to the amount. They act as a heat sink so it will take a bit longer to get up to temp.
Good luck

Exactly what Tim said. The approx 1-1.5 hrs/lb is per each piece of meat not cumulative. WIth 2 whole packers at say 275* I still believe you are within the 1-1.5 hr window
