Hy all, just wanted to share my new addition. Today I got a 1995 black Weber Kettle 22.5" for 40 bucks. It has wooden handles and is all original. Very little damage on the enamel and very little use alltogether. It's a pitty right now we have winter with rain and no sun so it will see action in early spring.
One question bothers me....is it OK to sand the handles and give it a nice teak oil soak?? Right now they are dirty...almost black.

Peter

If thar black from mildew you could try a mix of Oxy bleach and water. Similar to a wood brightener sold for exterior decks for removing mold, mildew and stains.

Great pick-up Peter!
By all means, sand the handles and apply the oil.
I actually sand and drip the handles IN the oil for a few minutes... pull out, allow to dry, sand and repeat.
Check it out.
