18" WSM and rib racks

I've cooked at least three racks of ribs (babies or whatever) on said WSM several times since 2007 with great satisfaction. I don't see any reason or advantage to substitute a kettle for the 18 incher and I don't own a kettle.

Whatever works to justify more grills/smokers. I come from the '80s saying "He that dies with the most toys, wins."(y)

That's like me trying to convince the wife that an investment in a 14" WSM would be a good idea for our family. She tends to look at the 18" and the 22" that are regularly used and ask, "Why?"

WSM is for Ribs ,Brisket and Pork butt. Things that take a while.
Kettle is for Chicken, Hamburgers,Steaks. Things that cook quick.
