I just purchased a 14.5 WSM and right at the seam there is a small notch at the top. This is my first smoker so maybe this is normal but it just seemed a little odd to me. I first thought maybe it was maybe a notch for a probe but this is a newer model that has the probe grommet. Sorry if this is a rookie question. Appreciate any feedback.
