14.5 rib rack issue

After a lot of reading I bought 2 brinkman rib racks for my new 14, I read they fit perfectly.

The lower one fits down in there nicely, but the top one doesn’t allow the lid to sit flush without holding it down. Anyone else have this issue? It seems the last rack on each end barely hits the lid, this could be fixed with bending them but all the coating will come off.

Anyway you can get the "feet" to drop between grates. It is just a single wire but might give enough space.

Not sure exactly what you mean but I did try flipping the grate over and didn’t help.

I thought maybe you could get a wire width lower, By trying to fit the bottom between grate bars but that is it possible, and certainly something you would have tried if it was.
