I'm a newbie to the forum, but I make custom grill tables using Weber Original Premium Kettles.
I received an order, and ordered myself the same kettle I've always used. The Weber 22" Original Premium Kettle.
When I received it, there was only one handle welded to the kettle. I called customer service and they assured me it was an error and would ship me a replacement with the correct 2 handles.
When I received the replacement it too only had one handle.
This is when the customer service at Weber first learned that there was a design change to the 22" Original Premium Kettle. It now only comes with one handle attached to the kettle and one on the lid.
I think this is a really dumb engineering decision to save a buck or two. (Especially when the Weber logo itself shows a kettle with two handles)
