Harvest Keeper vacuum sealer

I would guess at $400 it would have to be good

Don't know anything about the harvest keeper, but if stepping up to that price range, I'd seriously consider looking at a chamber sealer like a vac master.

Yeah, except a chamber runs $750 and won't do 15" widths. The actual price of the Harvest (or Vacmaster PRO380) is $340. But I do appreciate the lead on Vacmaster, as there is more web-related history from them over that of Harvest. Plus, it has the cutter and will store 50' rolls. I use these weekly, so I am willing to make an investment if it will last longer than a Foodsaver unit. $340? Possibly, if I can amortize its use over 5+ years. $750? Not for me.

Not sure about the widths, but a vp112s can be found for around $500. Also, depending on the volume, you'd save a ton in bags as they are much cheaper than ridged vac/suck bags. For example, 1000 bags run about $45.

I'm still trying to talk myself into getting one.
