I just bought one of these and used it only once so far to measure ambient temp. It seems to work great and the lifetime warranty on the probes seems great. I also found a thread on a website called "Smoking Meat Forum" and they are offering a 20% discount if you put the code word "SMOKINGMEATFORUM" in a box on the form when you checkout online *through their website*...not Amazon.
