hongso PCH834 searing grate


 
They make a full cast iron grate to replace the weber gourmet grate. However, it seems to have VERY bad reviews on amazon. Most people say it's brittle and often comes in the mail broken. The sear grate alone might be ok. I've got the weber one and I like it, but the porcelain coating will eventually come off. I just seasoned my like a cast iron pan and its fine.
 
Hi, Dustin. Thanks for your reply. I read the negative reviews about the related products, but decided to give it a try anyway. It seems like decent piece of equipment. I don't think it will be useful for reverse sear because of central location, but did a good job on burgers. We will try something more more pricey soon. I might try reverse sear again with vortex.
