Weber Genesis igniter and water/moisture

I've been having issues with water/moisture getting under the "button" and into the battery area
of my Genisis. Weber covered the 1st one under warranty but this one will apparently be on me.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so did you find a remedy for it? Thanks in advance.
