    First WSM cook - temperature issues

    I used the minion method.. about 20 bricks and about 3/4 full cage of lump. No idea what happened, but as soon as I flipped the door and let her sit for about 20 mins, temps came down. Maybe its a coincidence between the door and burnt fuel.

    hey guys.. got my first cook going today. Just threw on the ribs after fighting the temperature for the last couple hours <sigh> The access door on this thing SUCKS. Im going to modify it somehow before my next cook. My temps were consistent 275-325 with all vents closed .. air leaks all...

    In no way do I feel like Im ready for competition, but I'd love to join in the fun one day with more experience. Thanks for the thoughts guys.. I just wanted to see if my thoughts were actually sane and made sense. For those who were wondering what I ended up doing, I still didnt really smoke...
