My advice is to contact the folks at Great Lakes BBQ association for guidance. glbbqa.com Buncha great people there. Some of their members post here and may see this but I would go to their site and they can most likely find you some local or close to local assistance.

I will miss Whitewater this year .I am guessing if you dont have apps in soon you may miss out on paved spots. I usually opt for pavement as I have been in knee deep water in a grass spot a couple years ago. If I remember correct the grass spots at Whitewater had a good grass that wasnt to bad...

I am surprised you have not gotten any replies.There are several members here who compete or just show up to visit. I have competed all three years. And althou we have poor results at this contest we always show up. I think it takes me several contests to get the things workin right. 40+ teams...
