    One touch cleaner upgrade

Anyone know of a heavier gauge preferably stainless upgrade for the one touch cleaner? The ones from Weber seem to be pretty flimsy anymore.

My local store only has 5 bags left last I checked. Two others within 25-30 miles have over 100 in stock though.

Whats your opinion on Charcoal Lump or Briquetts

I use Kingsford comp as I find it performs like lump, but has the size consistency of briquettes. I've used Kingsford blue, but I don't like paying for all the fillers and dealing with the ash. I also have Stubbs briquettes available in my area and I'm going to try that next time I buy charcoal.

    Walmart Charcoal $8.98/36 pounds

I used to use lump but was getting unhappy with too many small bits that fall right through the charcoal grate. I like Kingsford comp because it burns like lump with nice consistent briquet size. Walmart online has free ship to store if you order it.

Asked Weber a Question About Colors

I had to buy my green Performer online as the only color available locally was black. I can understand local retailers not wanting to stock a variety of colors, but why can't the large online retailers like Amazon have access to the same colors available overseas? I don't understand why Weber...

what they get and we don't

I don't understand why none of that stuff is available here in the states. If Weber makes it here, it should be available somewhere. I understand that the demand amongst major retailers for a lime green kettle is probably nill, but why doesn't one of the online dealers make the stuff available...

    Interesting week for me

You'll love your Performer. I just bought a new one 2 weeks ago, mine is green too. Mine has silver on the cart frame, bottom shelf, and ash catcher though...interesting.

    charcoal bins or not?

I did a pork shoulder Sunday using my baskets and Kingsford Comp. I started at around 10am and added a few briquettes to each side during the course of the cook.I held a 250-275 temp all day, shoulder came off at 6pm with an internal temp of 190. I love my new Performer.

    charcoal bins or not?

I like them for indirect cooking.Much better than piling the coals on the side. Light 'em over the propane flame and then shift them to the side. Water pan fits right between them, very nice.

what is the appeal of the performer?

I just bought a Performer after grilling on a OTS for 12 years. I too balked at the price when it first came out. I needed a new kettle, wanted a OTG as a minimum. I looked at the OTP with it's two side shelves, and looked at the Performer. I decided on the Performer because I like having the...

    Grill for Kettle

I like the Weber stainless hinged grate myself. Nice sear marks, easy to clean, should last forever.

    Performer lid

I agree, and I think it could be as simple as offering the ability of mounting the igniter control panel on either side of the grill cart. If you could make the current back of the cart into the front of the cart, we leftys wouldn't have the problem.
