    Mini Ranch Kettle build complete

Nice build Dustin.....one quick clarification to your earlier post where you said . The lid wont seat properly on the bowl if the bowl is set directly on the frame (the lip of the lid hits the frame before touching the bowl). The 3/4" angle pieces were used because they were available and it...

    A New Family Member

From the pics, it looks like "Weber" is engraved in the vent. If so, this is probably from the mid 70s. This looks like a true gray kettle (not faded black). Either way, its a great score.

    Pulled the trigger ...

Sorry Hank..,I meant the lip of the 32 qt pot you purchased from Amazon. The Vasconia has a rolled lip which I cut off. It sounds like this is a flat "L" shaped lip on the top of the pot.

    Pulled the trigger ...

Hank H...regarding the top edge on your new pot. Is it a flat "L" shaped lid or a rolled lid like the IMUSA or Vasconia pots? Can you provide a pic? Im thinking of building a second "mini" and am interested in the thicker pot.

    Ol' Red

Thanks for the kind comments everyone....this one was found through word of mouth, not CL. Shaun-I paid $65...a little steep but considering the age and condition, I thought it was worth it. Timothy-Im willing to share in the bounty, are you looking for a red? Jim-careful...I may actually find...

    Finally Found the Redhead

Nice score Kim....I saw that one pop up on CL and it was gone just as fast. Good to see someone here snagged it.

    A Green "B"

Jim...this was from Tosa. I was skeptical at first because there was a spray painted green "B" listed on CL a while back. This is not the same.

    Ol' Red

Im not planning on flipping it (although the corral is bustin' at the seams) but it just seems to clean to cook on. I'll leave the cookin' for my "go to" OTG and MT.

    Ol' Red

Seller said he had a red Weber that he had for years and couldnt remember the last time he used it. This is exactly how I picked it up. Only one small chip on the rim of the lid. Havent seen the metal wheels before but they sure look neat.

    A Green "B"

A recent acquisition. Date code B. The seller said it was his fathers and that it was used only a couple of times.

    Red Jumbo Joe?

Mark- www.appliancefactoryparts.com C-I secured an old lid from an aluminum coffe maker to the legs and use this as a tray to hold an ash pan from an 18" OTS. Very easy to empty the ashes.

    Replacement legs

I have been using 3/4" copper tubing cut to the length of each leg. Once cut, I wrap approximately 8 wraps of 2" wide masking tape on each end followed by 2 or 3 more evenly spaced between the ends (enough tape to make a snug fit but still allow the copper pipe to slide into the leg). Then...
