Good point LM. To be honest the Cookbox i jus replaced with a brand new one...but only had minor didnt even need to be replaced . And i was younger an really didn't care for the grill as I should have , Therefore i will care for the new lid and cookbox like a Golden Eagle Egg ... lol Im still...

Hey guys i was jus wondering since i have a fairly good leftover cookbox and Lid from a Summit Platinum D6 . Has anybody every welded up an added adjustable vents to make it a charcoal grill??? Im thinking it would be kinda kool to have a Summit Lp D6 grill and another Frankenstein'd D6...
