I don't like to use my HM / fan to light up anything. I prefer to bring the temp up manually and then attach my HM. My experience is that you almost always get overshoot, even with a servo. If I use my HM to bring my BGE up to temp, I always set it to a lower setpoint first and gradually bump...

Thaks, got it mostly solid now! Only small chunk on two of the corners is infill now, I think it's impossible to get all the dimensions so it would be solid, since there is a radius on the outside corner? Well not impossible, but I would need to play with the corner radius setting quite a bit?

Damn, my router doesn't support any dynamic dns scripts so I guess I'm out of luck atm. BTW, at one time I had a 4G dongle plugged directly into my HM, it worked really well :cool:

The double pan is my winter project as well... However the plans only served as an inspiration, since I need to convert everything to metrics before proceeding. Basically I've had to redraw and rethink the whole model with Sketchup in metric units, I think I've got it mostly right now...

Are you running the stock fan? We've borrowed a smaller GF pit once at a competition and found out that at least the BBQ Guru Pit Viper fan didn't have enough oomph for it.

Hey, Does anyone have recommended print settings for this? Printing with Ultimaker 2 and Cura. Would a 0.25 mm layer height be sufficient, I'd like to print this out pretty fast... Edit: it's the original Ultimaker with 0.4 mm nozzle.

Well, this seems to be solved, somewhat. The problem ended up being a combination of two things: 1) bad wiring to the fan, probably due to bad rj45 connector. After I sorted that out, the fan works perfectly. 2) most likely the servo is broken, it behaves very weird. Sometimes it turns...

Okay there definitely seems to be something weird going on with the fan outputs, when I try to measure the voltage from the ground and fan output + pins, the Heatermeter loses power and reboot itself.

I'll snap some pics of the board and check the fan power connections. Wiring is good, it's been running fine several months through ethernet. I also checked the connectors and they seemed fine...
