Fan at 100% all the time, how to troubleshoot

With my DMM in diode checker mode, I placed the red on the drain and black on source of the Q3 MOSFET FQU11P06TU, and get a voltage of .52. According to limited internet research, this indicates a blown MOSFET, correct? If so, any other parts I should check for replacing? Thanks!

Fan at 100% all the time, how to troubleshoot

Apologize for the delay to responding to this thread, work has pulled me away from home for a while. Steve_M no continuity between the points in red when not powered on. When powered on, there is continuity. John Bostwick I have given everything a good cleaning and still get fan running at...

Fan at 100% all the time, how to troubleshoot

For whatever reason, I thought MCP1700 was a MOSFET, so ignore my previous measurements, they are just fine for a voltage regulator. Close up of one side: and of the other:

Fan at 100% all the time, how to troubleshoot

As the title says, my fan runs at 100% even when it suppose to be idling. Some background. My first smoke went great (everything worked as it should), but I realized that I had installed the 4 way switch backwards. I de-soldered it and did a second smoke. That's when I realized the fan was...

    Combining Postage to Australia

More than happy to help as well. Outside the US/Europe, I know how much it sucks being bitten by the outrageous shipping charges and lack of availability of parts. BTW, the small flat rate US Postal Service box to Australia measure 8-5/8" x 5-3/8" x 1-5/8" (I'll let you convert to cm ;) ) runs...

    Post your live HeaterMeter Cooks

Just built my first hetermeter over the holidays. Here is my first "test fire" using about 1/2 lb of Stubb's charcoal and no water pan: and here is my first "real" use of the HeaterMeter smoking baby backs using the water pan and following the "BRITU" recipe:

    TACTILE-4 Switch availability SKQUAAA010

Looks like Mouser no longer stocks Alps SKQUAAA010 tactile switch. Anyone know of a compatible replacement available at either digikey or mouser? I see that onlinecomponents.com carries them, but there doesn't seem to be much more that I would buy from them, even with flat rate $5.95 shipping...

LCD with only one row of pins compatible?

I only have the standard 16x2 LCD display that have a single row of pins at the top instead of the new haven ones listed in the hardware guide that have pins at the top and bottom. Anyone use one for their build? Seems like I would have issues fitting it into a case if I did and display might...
