For whatever it's worth, I have a Genesis II SE-410 (does NOT have "high-plus" burners) and have NOT had this problem.

I'm seeing a max of 560-570 on my SE-410 depending on ambient temp and wind.

I have a SE-410 as well and I keep it outside on my deck and use the weber cover for it. I live in Baltimore, MD if that helps with getting an idea of our typical weather conditions. I haven't checked for corrosion yet as I've only had it since January, but I'll take a look when I get home...

Isn't that the temp they are supposed to get up to? It sounds like it's puting out the right amount of BTUs. The steaks don't care what color the flames are. I don't understand what the issue is.
