    StokerX version 0.4

I did some pork butts last night, 225 for twelve hours and then another 4 or so in the oven to finish. I really like the user definable colors as my probes are color coded (with electrical tape). No problems and no hangs. I have yet to try the lid detection- just a little afraid I guess and...

Stoker has IP address, can't log into it? (Apple hardware)

I posted this in another thread- maybe too basic for you, but I have my Airport Extreme serving a static IP to the Stoker. "I just got my Stoker and had some issues setting up a static IP address, the stoker wouldn't seem to save the Subnet Mask, Gateway etc. I'm using it with a wireless bridge...

Next version of StokerX - feature discussion

It would be nice to have built in wifi, while it would increase the cost- my impression is that most using a Stoker want or do use the remote access using a computer of other device. It seems a lot of us spend another $50-$100 bucks on a wifi adapter. Given the nature of using a smoker, most...

    Stokerlog Version 6

I wasn't able to get twitter to work via Stokerlog so I just set it via the stoker web server interface- you just need to set it at the beginning of the cook so not a big deal. It may be that with twitter's new authentication that the twitter doesn't login correctly from Stokerlog.

    Stokerlog Version 6

I'd love an iOS app. It sounds like it may not be able to log like StokerX or Stokerlog but having a nice readable interface to the Stoker web server would be nice. I've used my iPod touch to check on my overnight cooks on my nightstand- but it's difficult to read using mobile Safari and...

Next version of StokerX - feature discussion

This is pretty exciting for us Mac users- I really like the idea of alarms independent of the Stoker, the great thing about having an application to monitor the stoker is you don't have to look at it- mine is in a water resistant box so I don't really hear the alarms anyway and would love to see...

StokerX beta 0.2 release - for Mac OS X

I use a pit probe and meat probe when using it in the oven, my oven setting is about 20F off so at low temps for prime rib etc it,s nice to have the pit probe. That and I enjoy the geek factor of tracking it on the Mac via wireless. I used the stoker for the first time on my ceramic cooker...

StokerX beta 0.2 release - for Mac OS X

Thanks- this is great to have on the Mac and so far it's been working great for me. I haven't tried the telnet, but am not having other issues. I did notice if you don't have a "control" probe that it doesn't seem to load the probe table, I have used my Stoker to monitor my oven without...

    Airport Express/Stoker problems

I just got my Stoker and had some issues setting up a static IP address, the stoker wouldn't seem to save the Subnet Mask, Gateway etc. I'm using it with a wireless bridge (not an Airport Express but a Linksys running DD-WRT, but my router is an Airport Extreme). I used the the Airport...
