You always lose a few lbs when exchanging, regardless of where you live. Refilling is the way to go. I go to a RV place by me - they use AmeriGas, and have a deal where you refill 3 ($19 per each out the door), and you get the 4th for free. So a 20 lb tank refill for $14.25, not a bad deal in...

Although it's a new grill, and based on your comments - I, personally would remove the burner and inspect it just to rule out any debris that might be lodged in there. You can always call up Weber - they'll probably send you a new burner set :)

Is gas being fed into the burners (ie. you can light the burners with a match for instance?) I sounds like yes, judging from your comments.

The LX models are shipped on a pallet, just like the Summit, with minimal assembly required. And yes, the country of origin is USA for the LX line. Can't elaborate beyond that.

I will own one very shortly. The lids are not stubby as they appear, by no means.

Surprisingly, it does NOT hinder the lid whatsoever on my 2015 Deluxe Performer, but couldn't imagine placing larger cut of meat on there, as it might hit the lid. I will be using this mostly with my 26" and Genesis.

Here in the suburbs of Chicago, an RV place that refills (Amerigas) tanks, charges $19 per 20lb tank refill, and for every 3 you purchase, the 4th is free. 14.25 per tank, I'm a bit spoiled.
