Advice sought for using pizza stone in Weber BBQ and avoid burning

If you use too much foil it will act just like a heat sink and have the adverse effect.

Advice sought for using pizza stone in Weber BBQ and avoid burning

A trick that I have successfully used is to use 2 pizza stones. I place one stone on the center of the grate and put steel spacers on each corner. I then place the second stone on top of the spacers. This keeps the direct heat off of the top stone as the lower one acts as a heat shield. Maybe...

New guy with a new grill and a problem

Why would anyone buy an expensive grill at a big box store? I bought my Genesis at a local BBQ specialty store and it included expert assembly and free delivery along with some free accessories. I couldn't be happier.

    Q3200 versus Spirt 310/320

I have never cooked on a 3200 but I think you will miss the extra space of the 310. My take on the 3200 is the target user is a camper or someone who needs a portable grill for travel to multiple locations. If it's affordable for you I would definitely go with the Spirit 310. You will never be...

so which tongs do most of you prefer, i fired up the weber yesterday.

I have tried many in the last 50 years. IMHO it's hard to beat the Good Grips SS ones in the long length. They don't slip in your hands even when greasy or wet and last for years. I have multiple pairs, some clean, some in the dishwasher. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B003L0OYK8/tvwb-20

Absolutely loving my new GrillGrates - incredible grill marks & almost no stick

No, I took off the original grates. They have a new home hanging on the wall behind where I store the grill. They are at the ready in case I need them for ??

Absolutely loving my new GrillGrates - incredible grill marks & almost no stick

These GrillGrates are exceptional. I am really glad I bought them and had them custom sized to fit exactly in my Genesis e-310. They heat up faster and are ready for a light brush cleaning in about half the time the SS ones were. They stick much less than the SS ones and leave incredible grill...

    Where to Buy

Stay away from the big box stores. I've seen a lot of grills in their stores NOT properly assembled. Sometimes you'll see guys that are all "thumbs" trying to put them together. Try to find a specialty dealer in your area. They probably will be offering the Special Edition Genesis for $50.00...

How do you use your GrillGrates?

I just bought a set and had them cut down from 20" to 19 1/4" to replace my SS grates and fit exactly on to my E-310 special edition. CS at GG said to size them at 19 1/4" so that the grill top/cover would close properly. they are thicker/taller than the original SS grates Did my first cook...

    Spirit E310 v Geneis E310

IMHO the Genesis is much better built, especially if you go for the "Special Edition" which is only available from Weber dealers not big box stores. It only costs $50. more than the standard Genesis and has SS flavorizer bars and SS grill grates. I looked at the above Genesis, SS Genesis and...

Best gas grill for the Elderly?

I would be looking at the Spirit. They are available in 2, 3 or 3 plus side burner configuration. According to Consumer Reports they are great cookers and get their highest marks.

Should I upgrade to the GrillGrates???

According to my previous post, it appears that upgrading my EP310 and adding the Sear Burner is not a preferred move. The consensus seems to be that it is not that great and probably not worth the $$. So, my question is this; Should I replace my SS grates with the GrillGrates?

Should I upgrade to a Sear Burner or leave my EP 310 alone?

I wasn't thinking of buying another grill but adding the sear burner to my grill.

Should I upgrade to a Sear Burner or leave my EP 310 alone?

I have a 4-5 month old Genesis EP 310. I do a lot of steaks, chops and burgers. It runs about 560 degrees what all 3 burners on high. I have noticed that it does not sear the steaks hardly at all. Should I spend the roughly $150 and up grade it with the sear burner or leave it as is? Does...

Need Help with Gas Line Connection.

I agree, it looks a little fishy with that regulator. And, what's with the ground wire??

Need Help with Gas Line Connection.

I would turn off the gas supply value, remove the old female connector and install the new one. Of coarse you will probably need an adapter or two as I would assume the new one has a larger pipe thread than the older one. Then try the grill if it gets hot enough, it's a go. If not then you will...

How hot should a 2 burner get?

My 2014 3 burner gets to 560, and that's about max., in about 15 mins.
