When putting in the resistance of your resistors are you just saying 10k or you putting in a avg of the all the resistors?

Unfortunately I don't have all the metadata I need to troubleshoot this. Once I have complete this smoke I will play with putting the probes in the refrigerator and I see what is happening. So far my data collection is working. I am seeing a little variances in temps from my thermometers on my...

Has anyone experienced the Maverick probes stop responding below 44 degrees? I am doing my alpha test of my setup and they stopped working after the temp dropped below 44 degrees. It isn't a big deal to me if they don't report. Just kind of makes me rethink a ambient temperature gauge. I am...

Check out the graph I made. Been querying my arduino thermo setup for the last 24hrs. Like i said in previous post my project is just probes. No fans. http://mikerochford.com/MeatLogger/chart.php

All, I know we have the coefficents for the ET-73 probes but I email the maverick folks to see if they could provide us with their docs for both style of probes. Darren over at Maverick provided me the data sheets for the ET-73 they have on file. Don't know if anyone wants to run the numbers...

This is where I am stuck. I am trying to figure out to get the coefficients. This is the biggest thing I am missing when creating my own network connected thermo. Can anyone point me in the direction of step by step howto on how to set this up and calculate? Thanks. -Mike

Thanks again. I have a cookshack smoker and just looking at getting temps. So my board design is very simple.

That depends on where you want your best sensitivity. If you look at this graph you can see how voltage at the divider changes with at various temperatures for 2 different resistors. As you can see the 22k ohm starts to really lose precision at about 250F, which makes sense, this probe was...

    HeaterMeter Homebrew Controller

Hello, I am new to this forum and I am also working on a ethernet based thermo. I am curious to what resistor I should be using with the Maverick 73. I am currently using a trim pot to set it as close as I can to 22.1k resistance. Thanks for your help.
