How much coal are you guy/gals using?

Yeah, that sounds right to me as well the way you're doing it. I can taste the unlit coals when using Kingsford also. I tried to convince myself I can't, but I can. Not with Stubbs, though. Do a straight Stubbs minion and see if you can taste it.

Am I Paying Too Much for a Weber OTG?

Looks pretty good and is half price of a new one, with the table, etc. I'd offer $50 to see if they'd take it, but have $75 to give 'em if they won't.

    Need Advise ???

The stainless steel model is a few years old, can't remember exactly how long. If it's in good condition and doesn't need anything replaced, $120 ain't bad. Not as good as some deals you see, but I'd rather have the SS model than the ones with the plastic tables.

    smokin' in your kettle

I haven't had any problems with my cooks using the Smokenator, but it makes sense that this method may make it even easier to use. I'm going to try foiling the part of the grill not covered by the Smokenator this weekend and see how that works for me.

    grillfloss?

Well, flipping the grate over puts the top closer to the coals and helps burn the crud off better. Since I got it flipped, I just go ahead and get the crud on the bottom brushed off. Flip it back and do the top again. Not every time I cook, but every once in a while.

    grillfloss?

I've tended to just flip my grate over and brush both sides. While I'm sure this tool will work, it seems awfully expensive for what it is.
