Thanks Steve, I thought the additional pan would interfere with the lower grate. A local hardware store stocks the Brinkmann charcoal pan so I'll have to pick another one up along with a few machine screws, copper, and wing nuts How did the butts turn out?

I would suggest purchasing a Silver B that has the PCI(Porcelain Cast Iron) grates. Home Depot sells them exclusively with them included. I purchased my Silver B a while back and when my standard grates started to show wear, I upgraded to the PCIs for about $60, Home Depot stocks them. My...
