    Frying with oils.

Does the linoleic acid correlate to a flavor? The higher the value the more flavor induced? I am not real happy with Canola oil but I am not the fry cook in the house. Right now I figure I am going to die eventually so as much as I would like to put that off I do want to enjoy fried foods in...

Those knobs don’t look right. Why would you sell a 3pack of knobs for a summit that has at least 4 burners

You know you're getting old when...

I remember most of them. I don’t think some of the would pass muster for kid’s programming today as shown in the past.

Charcoal Grilling Ban in New Jersey

We are very dry in New England. On the plus side - Clear blue skies and the best foliage colors in years. Good sky watching at night. On the negative side low reservoirs and brush fires. All things being relative, nothing like the dry issues the people in the West experience

Same size as Genesis B/C of that time period. They are good parts grills with lots of common parts

    Thinking I should grab this?

It cost about $100 to rebuild one. New cooking grids, burner tube, ignition etc.

    Identification - Manifold Swap?

If both grills use 13 flavor bars in the firebox they can be swapped. Beware that the frames are constructed differently and the red one could be a 5 flavor bar 700 or 900

    Spirit 200 wheels coming apart

I would get some casters with a flat top for mounting and bolt them to the Spirit base. They should be tall enough to protrude from the concave base. You can get casters from Amazon or harbor freight

Weber Genesis Platinum, I bought in Wausau,Wisconsin. Will be drastically modified.

There might be a food grade or a caster made for biotech made out of stainless but it would probably be pricey. I would probably use a plastic plate or something non conductive between the two dissimilar metals

Big tree fell on this one. It still had some salvageable parts.

Thinking of refurbing my Weber 900

That looks great. Just make sure you paint the outside of the firebox with high heat paint to seal up the bare spots to prevent further corrosion

Thinking of refurbing my Weber 900

Thread in valves like the early round manifold Genesis B/C The side tables are plastic. Not durawood, not thermoset Weber skimped on the frame. Just 1 lower bar in the center for stability I don’t see them much. This is one I did with a mix of parts

Thinking of refurbing my Weber 900

The 900 and 700 use the same firebox as a Genesis B/C. The frames don’t have end caps like the Genesis B/C They have a round tube manifold that’s the same dimensions as a Genesis B/C Most parts are still available

Why? Oh Why do I see this more than I want?

Steaks are off the weekly menu. No one seems to miss them… moved to kebobs which everyone likes Dumb luck that hamburgers on the menu are now 4oz smash burgers by request rather than the 8oz fancy ones. Chicken and pork chops are pretty reasonable.

    Curb Alert !!!

It’s a frozen food company kind of like Omaha Steaks. For some reason just about every blue lid in New England has the AFF logo. I wish it was an Iconic brand logo like Coca-Cola or a big Sports team like you see on some kettles

That stupid logo is a mustache on a Mona Lisa

I would reference the custom stainless frames GShafer? built for 13 bar fireboxes for some ideas

That’s got the droops. You can fix it with a weld or a self-tapping screw. I’ve had 5 or 6 of them over the years. I either swap the parts out to black and sell the grill or sell the frame. I don’t like the one off grey parts and grey end cap lids.

I’m battling cold weather, below 50f, for 7 months. The longer hose is a little easier to bend when connecting to the tank
