    BBQ Hash

Growing up in the lower-Upstate or upper-Midlands of SC meant that every 4th of July we'd trek to the local BBQ eatery to put in our order for meat and BBQ Hash. This isn't corned beef hash. This doesn't have a bunch of potatoes or corn or other* vegetables in it. Its not Brunswick stew. It's...

So, is it best to go ahead and slice it if you're not eating right away?

Stashing/Archiving a portion of the graph

I cooked a pork butt using my HeaterMeter on my 18.5 wsm saturday night/sunday morning. I've let it run since then, but would like to only "stash" the cook portion of the graph. Is there any way to pare the superfluous (post-cook) portion of the graph?

Pit Meter App & the latest HM Firmware

I was running the noise firmware, flashed it back to the regular, and still got the error in the PitMeter app. I turned off https (and streaming which was already off as suggested above) and now I don't have the error. I also verified I was using the correct IP & username/password (as...

Pit Meter App & the latest HM Firmware

That certainly seemed to fix that issue. Now I get "Error Received HTTP Status 400" ...about the same frequency as the other.

Pit Meter App & the latest HM Firmware

"Error Unprocessed streaming event peaks." These pop up pretty much constantly. Click OK and it pops immediately back up. Leave it alone and behind it the app seems to perform as normal ...just with that error popped up. I've never dealt with this issue before, and the only thing I've...

    ATC and High Temperature Cooks

For Thanksgiving turkey, I was able to maintain 350 for about 45 minutes, then had to drop down to about 325 when I noticed it'd started to cycle (waves in the graph). (I could've just adjusted the pid settings, but didn't want to try to figure that out.) It held really well. Then a few weeks...

    Noisy Thermocouple?

So, what do I need to do if I don't see the "A/C Input line noise filter" box?

    Noisy Thermocouple?

Do I need to be running a different firmware for the noise setting? - - - Updated - - - Also, this is the first time it's ever showed this behavior.

    Noisy Thermocouple?

Can anyone take a look at this live cook and tell me what's going on with my thermocouple? It'll read what I believe to be normal for 3 or 4 seconds then drop about 3ºF, and continue with that pattern. http://ficklin.afraid.org:5000

    Dry Brining, When to Inject?

Regarding Dry Brining, is that just putting salt on the turkey rather than submerging it in a solution of salty water?
