    What a score today!

I did use the "proofing" setting on my oven so it held it at 95 deg. Everything was actually quite good. We just thought perhaps a tiny bit more "lift" in the dough might have been nice is all

    Fake Wusthof Knives?

I had a Chef's Choice 110. Awful thing. Every knife I tried in it, that thing made way worse. Get model 15.

    What a score today!

Actually the biggest "hurdle" was the learning of what to use. The big KitchenAid did all the heavy lifting, quickly and quietly. But, it's obvious by looking at this I have a lot to learn in how to shape the dough ball properly by hand. My wife was pretty shocked at how little yeast the recipe...

    What a score today!

So this is the Margherita. I forgot to take photos of the one with pancetta. They turned out quite delicious good chewy crust, a nice crisp and texture. I think I used a but too much pancetta on mine but then you can't have too much porky goodness :D Honestly my only "gripe" with how things...

    Curb Alert !!!

Hey there is a button for everything. I get it. Like right now, I wouldn't go next door to get a grill. I don't need or want one and I rarely if ever use a gasser anymore. I like them but I don't rebuild them. So, it's just not my cup of tea either. I get it. Just bustin your chops bud

    What a score today!

OK tonight will be our "acid test". Wife and I just got done making the Neapolitan dough recipe measuring right to the gram from the Solo Stove owners manual recipe list as noted here. It's now currently proofing and rising in the oven on the "proofing setting" for 2 hours. I've made a nice...

    Curb Alert !!!

Third Lake is not that far from you. Pretty much a shot up 59 and a little east. But, re the grill the grates alone are worth the $75 But if someone wanted to place those SS panels from Jon in it, it could very likely turn out to be a very fine grill. Yeah it's got the foibles of the new...

    Broilmaster G-2000D Restoration

My friend's in MN has the single wood handle. Last time we were there and I was cooking on it, can't tell you how many times I came close to burning myself badly because I kept grabbing the lid not realizing no handle

    What a score today!

I am sure of that Ed. I know the box's instructions noted 450 degrees. IIRC my stone was right about 800 when I did this Za, so perhaps it would have been a little better had I dialed it back a bit and let it go a hair longer But, as noted this was all learning experience for us. Neither of us...

Remove stuck manifold screws Genesis 1000

Good deal. Not to burst your bubble though. BTW the fitting is fine. Just different style. Likely everything is fine but I would highly recommend not using teflon tape (especially the white stuff) on a gas fitting. That is for water lines. Teflon tape for gas is yellow. I'd also recommend on...

That is really top notch. Where did you find those brackets? I can see plenty of uses for stuff like that

    What a score today!

Hmm never considered some of that. Like I noted. It's all a new learning experience to me. I've never cooked on anything that hot.

Yep, I think I bought a total of 3 or 4. I am now using the Sumatra organic beans I forgot I had now that I've tried the 3 peckered Billy Goat

OK I forgot where I responded so info on a a manifold

I'd responded to someone (cannot find the post) I would look in my back garage today for an old manifold I though I might have. Very sorry, I don't have them anymore. Not sure if I discarded them or gave away

    What a score today!

Honestly I don't know which I enjoyed using more. The Solo Stove or the Wolf. Honestly the Solo Stove is easier and faster. So Maybe the not goes there
