    Wood Chunk Question

This sounds like a recipe for disaster. Trying to chop up logs into small chunks, whatever method, will only result in you ending up paying a visit to the local accident & emergency hospital along with the other. Along with amateurs sports men & women, DIY'ers and other weekend warriors. Gets...

    Making pizza on the WSM.

The problem you have Arun, is your doughs rubbish (no offence) and as Timothy has pointed out, your not going to enough heat using a WSM. I struggle a bit with the Weber 6520 I've just bought, your never do it with a WSM, unless your trying to smoke a pizza for 3hrs.

    Making pizza on the WSM.

Thanks for correcting me - starboard home not in . Only found it out myself recently, when we went on a cruise and were told of the origin of the phrase, although I think it was said a bit tongue in cheek!

    Making pizza on the WSM.

That's my pleasure, perhaps you could let me know the American equivalent. Taking the Michael, is the posh (port side out, starboard side in!) way of saying taking the Mickey, which comes from cockney rhyming slang of taking the Mickey Bliss. I won't explain where taking the 'p***' comes from...

    Making pizza on the WSM.

Your dough still doesn't look right to me, and I'm a complete novice. Seems a bit rough, I would search for another recipe. Try the Weber web site, here's the UK one; http://www.weber.com/GB/en/recipes/pizza-and-bread/pizza-with-prosciutto-and-wild-rocket.html as an example.

    Making pizza on the WSM.

Hi Arun, taking the Michael is a British expression meaning 'to take liberties at the expense of others, or to be joking. If your not, then your dough is rubbish, unless you like eating pizza cake. Research some pizza dough recipes. You'll need to have a split of strong white flour and '00'...

    Making pizza on the WSM.

There's something wrong with your dough Arun, it looks more like a topping for apple crumble :( What is the recipe you are using? Are you kneading it and allowing it to rise? Or are you taking the Michael ;)

You could watch this vid by this pair of characters. If you want to skip the outrageous Weber advertising, go to 7mins where they start cooking the pizza, although he still manages to burn it (like I did tonight). Very very hot oven, 3mins per turn; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=El0ABq9jMU8...

    Making pizza on the WSM.

I have one of these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I9X3UROLQWY and very much a work in progress. But I think the principal is the same for any pizza oven. Get the BBQ hot, then hotter still. I posted here on this forum about how, and was told to use 1+ 1/2 chimney starter of charcoal, possibly...

    Weber Charcoal Pizza Oven (6520)

Yep mine was sold off at half price, so it might of been a bit of a white elephant. But I'll persevere and we WILL enjoy ourselves. ;)

I Hate Meeces To Pieces. And Rats, Too.

There's an urban myth, that you never far than 6 feet from a rat, but they do lurk everywhere. An if you live in a rural area, you've got to expect them. Years ago, whilst sitting in my living, I saw one crawling across my decking. It transpires the Mrs had taken to leaving the veg peelings in a...
