The 4000 came in two color choices, maroon and grey, which is what you have.

I know that it has been mentioned before, but what is that "extra" knob on your control panel? I think that definitely makes this grill a 4000

Looks like a Genesis 4000 missing both side flip up tables. But I can see the end brackets that would hold each table. Also, I guess a 4000 would have had a sideburner instead of that side table. But the lid is the right color for the 4000, I think that was called Grey.

That's a beauty!

I wouldn't waste the time or money for a flipper grill.

More pics and more details... I restored the manifold completely. Valves taken off and completely disassembled , lubricated as per the HOW TO video. Shined up the valves, sanded, cleaned and repainted the manifold then reassembled . Dyed the control knobs black using the Rit dye technique...

I think you are seeing the plastic insert where the flip up table hinge rod fits in to.
