Picked up an old broilmaster double grill today...

I remembered now that I originally got a set of two of the “plain” black thermometers and used one on “The Judge” while the other has sat in a box unused. In looking for options on Amazon, I came across this Nexgrill replacement on Prime Days sale. With some credit card points, the total...

I believe they are 14 gauge. I know they are very stout and are 304 stainless.

Those just posted by @Josh Dekubber look likely to be your best hope, Eric. Nice find on that, Josh!

    Weber Parts Deals

I might grab a set or two of these. I believe the casters - though not the inserts - will fit the Platinums with the "fat" Summit style frames. I have a couple of projects at least of those. The inserts I would save to use on Genesis grills

Not bad, and the direction things are going, probably worth stocking up.

Picked up an old broilmaster double grill today...

Eric, I have two of these still in the package. They obviously aren't super close to the original, but they are new in the package. The sad thing is that mine both say "LEFT". I found you can still buy the LEFT ones but not the right ones...

    Broilmaster G-2000D Restoration

Well, the black one I already. have is plain jane. The two left on eBay look really nice and close enough for me. However, price is high and over 14 bucks to ship two small thermometers is highway robbery. I got as close as putting them in my cart and finally said, “No!” The white ones we each...

Picked up an old broilmaster double grill today...

It was 5 years ago. As I remember, there were several options based on the size. EDIT: It might have been these. Check measurements! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CX596M1Z?tag=tvwb-20

    Broilmaster G-2000D Restoration

Thanks, Josh! You are good detective😎. I need to look at the one black one I have already. If it matches the eBay one, I might grab one more. Not likely to buy two at that price, and actually the white ones would be good as well.

I would go for the Harbor Freight one. I think they look fine.

Curb pickup today in Bethesda, MD.

Dave, NOBODY could ever rival you for dedication! I was much more used to the high heat and humidity back then. Now I am still learning to adjust to cold. The one thing is, though, that no matter how hot it got in Florida, you COULD work outside as long as you avoided the sun (note my "sun...

I will just leave this here

Yeah, I have never understood why that Platinum One Touch got such a weak reception. It is my favorite of the various ways Weber has put their kettle in some type of cart. The dual side tables are handy and make so much sense to me.

    Broilmaster G-2000D Restoration

Great news! I went out at lunch and dug through my shed and way down was a bucket with all my missing Broilmaster II parts, down to a labeled box with small parts including the burner knobs. As overloaded as I am, I was pleasantly surprised to find I had actually organized the stuff from this...

Curb pickup today in Bethesda, MD.

That's how I got my first Weber grill that ultimately led to me getting in the grill restoration hobby. We had moved back to Florida, and the first summer we were there our area experienced two hurricanes separated by just weeks. In the aftermath, my wife and I were driving down a main street...

Cody's Corner of Random Rehabbing & Shenanigans

I admit that I just have a strong prejudice against the 3rd generation Summit and am one who greatly welcomed its long overdue passing to the new Summit. The new one may not be perfect, and it is overpriced in my view, but it is at least much improved. To me, the 3rd gen Summits were bloated...
