With A Touch Of A Button, New Weber® Genesis® and Spirit® Smart Gas Grills Help Grillers Create The Perfect Meal Every Time With Ease

I'll stick with the KISS system for gas grills. Preheat, Grill, burn off, shut off. Pellet grills are different for smoking.

The best frozen fries we've ever had

I don't, but they have vanished from the stores here in Las Vegas. Bought all I could for the freezer when they cleared them, but now I'm out.

Have you got your covid vaccine yet?

I'm in the pipeline for my second shot now on February 18th. Originally they had me beyond the threshold on March 17th. Wife still waiting for her age group to become activated (65-69) after teachers.

The best frozen fries we've ever had

Still looking for a replacement for the Lamb & Weston fries. I looked at the Rally fries, but didn't get them due to seasoning. I can so far say don't get the Signature brand fries, they seem reconstituted.

    Why hand wash knives ?

I've been adding Cutco knives over the past couple of years and I hand wash them. Our older knives go in the dishwasher.

Have you got your covid vaccine yet?

I lucked out and got an appointment for yesterday. First dose on board (Moderna) with a return date of 2/17. No symptoms from the shot at all. Arm is a little sore today, but no more than usual for any other IM shot. Wife not yet eligible for first dose based on age requirements.

    2008 Weber Genesis Sidewinder Restoration

Rafael: You've got a good grill there which will serve you well for years. Only big thing to keep ahead of is rust in the bottom panel and the side frames where it meets that panel. Several members have tips on how to deal with that. Rust was the only real weakness for this series from 2007...

The Legend has passed, RIP Mike Mills

We frequented his LV locations on every trip to visit family while we still lived in RI. Some great memories there with birth announcements, birthdays, etc. I would even get some to go before taking the rental car back on the way to the airport. My wife and I even met him at another location...

Genesis with minor lighting issues - could use some advice

I totally agree with Bruce. Slow clicking could be from poor contact. First thing I would check are the contacts on the plastic button. There are two narrow strips on the outside of the plastic that make the contact with the spring to complete the circuit. If they are corroded some, it would...

    Keeping take-out barbecue warm ?

We use a small Omaha Steak Styrofoam cooler (not the bigger ones) for take out. Works pretty well for the two of us. There is a Sicilian style (pan) pizza we like but the place is about 10 miles away. We pre-heat a cookie sheet in the oven at 350 before going to pick up the pizza. When we...

New EX6 for Christmas, got one cook out of it!

Corey: The cord definitely isn't the issue then. Hope the issue is easy to resolve with tech support.

New EX6 for Christmas, got one cook out of it!

I agree with Jon on the extension cords. Never 16 ga or 18 ga or longer than 25ft. !4ga is good and 12ga is even better. All 3 wire cords.

For your Christmas Day viewing pleasure...

Had some great Q from the Salt Lick guys at the Austin airport a decade ago. They had a spot here in Las Vegas that wasn't as good and as added insult, no Dr. Pepper! (only sold Pepsi products). No longer here.

    Merry Christmas to all

Barb: Thanks to all you have done as an essential worker for your community. Thanks to both you and Rich to keep the TVWBB a vibrant entity. We hope you both have a Merry Christmas 2020 as it is to be. Hopefully, Christmas 2021 will allow us all to gather with our families safely.

    2008 Genesis E-310 Restoration

Here's the 2007 assembly .pdf that shows the bracket in step 13. Manifold has no wings unlike 2008 forward and has a gas collector unlike the newer models with the igniter on the front burner itself.

    2008 Genesis E-310 Restoration

Bruce: Nawh, not until somebody goes for "more power" drilling out the orifices for conversion! I've learned an awful lot from you, Larry, Jon, Rich and others in the past couple of years. I will stay with the 13 year old Genesis, not the new stuff probably for as long as I'm still kicking...

    2008 Genesis E-310 Restoration

Hi Bruce: I don't think defective is the right word. If I recall from other posts the valve end of earlier model grills were supported by hangers. The 2007 with the cross bracket did have a little give to it when you pushed down on the valve knobs. Going to the wings that sit in slits in the...
